Two orthopedic specialists will discuss non-surgical pain management and sports injury prevention at a Franklin golf venue on Nov. 12 as the Williamson Health Foundation continues its Men's Health Series.

The panel will zero in on spine- and joint-related pain and how to treat it without surgery, according to a foundation news release. The event is the second installment of the series, which the foundation said builds on a successful inaugural gathering.

Matthew Anderson, an orthopedic surgeon with the Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee, and Keith Granger, an interventional physiatrist with the same practice, will serve as panelists. The two plan to cover practical ways to stay active, prevent injuries and maintain long-term joint and muscle health, the foundation said.

Williamson Health Foundation board member Jeff Walker will host the evening.

Leigh Williams, executive director of the Williamson Health Foundation, said in the release that the panelists will offer guidance on maintaining an active lifestyle, with information aimed at men at every stage of life. She encouraged community members to attend.

After the panel discussion, attendees can enjoy a complimentary dinner and try a golf simulator experience provided by The Back Nine Golf. The venue sits in the Cool Springs corridor, a familiar stop for Franklin-area residents.

Tickets are $25 per person.

Space is limited, and the foundation is encouraging early registration. Details and tickets are available on the Williamson Health event page.

The series brings together health professionals and Franklin-area men for panel discussions on wellness topics. The foundation, the charitable arm of Williamson Health, organizes health outreach programs across Williamson County.
