Williamson County voters can cast ballots at any of eight early voting locations starting Wednesday, Oct. 14, ahead of the Nov. 3 general election.
Three of those sites are in Franklin. The Fairview Recreation Center rounds out the local options for readers in the western part of the county. Early voting runs through Thursday, Oct. 29.
The Williamson County Election Commission lists the following Franklin-area locations:
- Election Commission Office, 405 Downs Blvd., Franklin
- Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Road (near Mack Hatcher Parkway), Franklin
- Grace Church at Franklin, 4052 Arno Road, Franklin
Fairview voters can head to the Fairview Recreation Center, 2714 Fairview Blvd., Fairview.
Four other county sites are also open: the John P. Holt Brentwood Library, College Grove Community Center, Nolensville Recreation Center and Longview Recreation Center in Spring Hill. Registered voters may use any of the eight sites regardless of where they live in the county.
All locations are open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on two Saturdays, Oct. 17 and Oct. 24. The commission, chaired by Jonathan Duda, voted unanimously at its Aug. 21 meeting to keep those hours, which matched the schedule used during the August primary.
One change from that primary: Columbia State Community College on Liberty Pike in Franklin is not on the November list. Commission meeting minutes note the campus site was unavailable during the school year.
What to bring: Tennessee or federal photo ID, even if expired. College student IDs are not accepted, Williamson Source reported. First-time voters who registered online or by mail must also show proof of their residential address.
The Nov. 3 ballot includes races for governor, U.S. Senate, U.S. House, Tennessee Senate and House seats, vacant state judicial offices and county offices. Fairview, Nolensville and Thompson's Station residents will also see municipal races on their ballots.
Voters who need an absentee ballot by mail must request one by Saturday, Oct. 24, according to a WSMV voter guide. Absentee ballots must be returned by mail and received by the Election Commission no later than the close of polls on Election Day.
The free GoVoteTN app, available at GoVoteTN.gov or through the App Store and Google Play, lets voters find polling locations, view sample ballots and track absentee ballots. Administrator of Elections Chad Gray's office can be reached at 615-790-5711. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3.
