Franklin High's girls soccer team earned a spot in the TSSAA Class AAA state tournament Saturday, Oct. 24, rolling past Hendersonville 6-0 on the road in the sectional round.

The No. 3-seeded Admirals will face No. 6 Stewarts Creek in a state quarterfinal Tuesday, Oct. 27, at Howard in Chattanooga. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. Eastern, according to the Williamson Herald.

Coach Kyle Roelke's squad heads to Chattanooga with just two losses all season, both to Ravenwood in penalty-kick finishes at the District 10-AAA and Region 5-AAA finals, the Herald reported. The Admirals bounced back from the region final loss on Thursday, Oct. 22, and dominated Hendersonville two days later.

Ravenwood also advanced, beating Gallatin 1-0 at home Saturday. The No. 5-seeded Raptors face No. 4 Bearden at 1:30 p.m. Eastern in Tuesday's quarterfinal.

The Admirals' opponent, Stewarts Creek, enters the matchup on a 10-game winning streak and an 18-1-1 record, Main Street Media of Tennessee reported. The Red Hawks earned their berth with a 5-0 sectional win over Cleveland on Saturday, powered by a hat trick from senior Taylor Genova. It is Stewarts Creek's fifth state tournament appearance.

"Traveling is always different but we need to be more focused and ready this time around," Genova told Main Street Media.
